Department OFFICE MANAGERLocation CAIRO, EGYPTJob Description Proficiency and competency in English A knack for diligent editing, restructuring, and polishing articles, especially those written by non-native speakers A minimum of 2 years of relevant academic copyeditingadvanced editingproofreading experience Extensive subject matter expertise Willingness to work for a fixed number of hours in a week from any remote location of choiceBasic requisites Master sPhD research experience (including having conducted studies or writtenpublishedreviewed papers) Experience in academic editing or scientific communication Experience in editing documents in English as a second language Knowledge of styles and conventions (such as APA, CMS, AMA, CSE, and IEEE) Member of acclaimed editing and publishing associations such as EFA, EASE, and BELSPrimary roles of the desired editors Revising the content in the paper in the light of grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, and word choices Correcting the flow, transition, terminology, accuracy, and coherence of the content in the context of the paper Performing appropriate formatting in conformance with academic conventions in terms of citation style, layout, section headings, and tense usage
