Job Description

Position Senior Administrator, DatabaseJob DescriptionManaging and maintaining database systems with 5 or more years of experience- Puts standards in place to ensure that all application design and code is produced with proper integrity, security, and performance- Provides technical support to application development teams- Supervises & coordinates with the other teams to ensure that the necessary operating system and server have been installed, prepared the customer environment and made all the necessary communications for the installation and setup of the databases and the development tools and oracle required products- Establish and maintain backup and recovery policies and procedures- Maintain data standards, including adherence to the Data Protection Act- Maintaining high availability solutions- Setup and maintain documentation and standards- The hands-on experience about replication solutions and technologies (eg data guard, streaming, etc)- Good understanding of other versions of the database management systems (eg Microsoft SQL SERVER & MYSQL)- Very good EnglishPreferred Experience- Works with offshore teams and support customers of different time zones- Very good communication & presentation skills- Cloud understanding & experience (preferably Microsoft Azure)
