Job Description

Ensure timely completion and submission of monthly timesheets, probation and annual performance reviewsDevelop and lead implementation of capacity building plan on technical and project management skills for WPE staff based on documented capacity needs assessment exerciseProvide ongoing supervision, mentoring, training and technical support and guidance to WPE staffEnsure WPE staff understand and adhere to IRC Way and GBV and best-practice principles, including strict adherence to confidentialityTechnical QualityProvide technical guidance, oversight and support to WPE interventions in Ninewa to improve the provision of quality case management and psychosocial support (PSS) services to meet the needs of women and girlsDevelop and lead training of WPE staff, partners, GBV actors and service providers in case management, GBV core concepts, GBV tools and resources, PSS, adolescent girls and women s empowerment approaches; in close collaboration with the Snr WPE Manager for Quality AssuranceLead development and oversee implementation of community-based, primary prevention activities to engage all community members including women, girls, men and boys in GBV prevention and risk mitigationSupport and supervise implementation and security of programme databases and information management systems according to global GBV standards, including the use of the Gender Based Violence Information Management System (GBVIMS +)PrimeroContribute to and inform continuous analyses of programme and service delivery data for problem identification, programme planning and advocacy purposes and to identify trends and gaps in case management and service provision to help improve programmingSupport in the implementation of a robust Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) system for all objectives, indicators and activities that is consistent across locations and feeds into evidence-based programming in collaboration with WPE Coordinator, the WPE Program Support Officer, and M&E departmentOversee the capacity development of local actors led by the WPE Senior Officer for Capacity-Building, through provision tailored trainings and on-the-job mentorship for identified partnersEngage with the other IRC program leads and WPE Coordinator to ensure programmatic integration is in line with GBV prevention and response guidelinesGrant ManagementWork closely and coordinate with IRC Operations, Finance and Grant departments to ensure compliance with grant requirements and that financial and logistical controls are implemented according to IRC protocolsEnsure high-quality IRC and donor reports on activities, indicators and achievementsLead in the development and design of new projects for follow up funding that respond to needs identifiedIn collaboration with WPE and Field Coordinators, manage programme budgets, develop and maintain work, spending, procurement and M&E plans to ensure the programme is implemented according to schedule and budgets, and that programme objectives and targets are metSupport WPE programme design and development in line with IRC Iraq s Strategic Action Plan and priorities, and contribute in the conceptualizing and drafting of new funding proposalsCoordination, Advocacy & RepresentationBuild relationships with partners, government, other NGOs and UN agencies to establishstrengthen appropriate GBV referral systems to ensure survivors access services in a timely and confidential manner and enhance multi-agency and multi-sectoral cooperation and coordinationCoordinate and lead advocacy efforts with other actors and sectors, particularly WASH, Food and Nutrition, Shelter, Livelihoods, Health;
