Dispatcher, Lead ( KBO001880 )

IssuesRecieves vehicles andor equipment within Army Regulations and the Commercial Lease Vehicle Branch (CLVB) SOP Responsible for the direct supervision of dispatchers Responsible for dispatching of all types of vehicles within the Commercial Leased Vehicle Branch (CLVB) utilizing the designated database Coordinates the servicing, repair, and maintenance scheduling of all commercial leased vehicles Keeps records, reports, information, and instructions on all assigned leased assets Maintains daily operations by initiating and responding to all telephone calls, emails, and other communication forms received on their own account andor by the CLVB Supervisor, Fleet Coordinators, or designee Should be able to perform most other duties as needed at the CLVB


1 Coordinates all dispatch operations for Commercial Leased Vehicles

2 Ensures that departmental activities are performed according to applicable processes and procedures while overseeing all administrative communications support assignments given to personnel

3 Assures compliance as outlined by the InternalStandard Operating Procedures

4 Utilizes the designated database (ie GCSS-Army, MAXIMO) or manual means to dispatch and coordinate vehicles; maintain proper use of all forms utilized

5 Ensures that all documents are correct and clearly annotated when vehicles or equipment is turned in or signed out

6 Refers to the computer database that vehicles are within the period of performance on the existing contract

7 Ensures that the vehicle operator is properly licensed and has valid tasking

8 Issues keys, record sheets, and credentials to drivers

9 Investigates overdue dispatched vehicles

10 Maintains record of mileage, fuel used, repairs made, and other activites of vehicles assigned to the fleet

11 Provides the customer necessary documents and direction for performing proper PMCS

12 Gather all documents and information for the recovery of assets

13 Performs other duties as assigned


Computer, functionality of Microsoft Office software products, database entry, printers, calculators, fax machine, copy machine and other general office equipment


Work may be conducted in a building, warehouse, tent, or outside Work is generally conducted in a warehouse environment However, duties may occasionally involve working outside with a potential exposure to extreme temperatures Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies


Work may require heavy lifting up, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents



EducationCertifications One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required

High school diploma

Must obtain on and off-post drivers license

Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)

Must have excellent customer service skills


4 years of prior dispatching experience required or equivalent Experience in a leadership role


Must have a good command of the English language in order to provide effective phone, desk-side, and email support

Previous supervisory, team leading or management experience

Ability to work effectively and exercise sound business judgment in a team environment, as well as independently

Demonstrate ability to deal with all employees and external customers while conveying a positive service oriented attitude

Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services

Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills

Collaborative work style fostering cooperation and teamwork

Handle confidential company and employee information with complete discretion

Prioritize responsibilities to handle a demanding workload

Ability to work under pressure

Intermediate proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook applications
