Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Supervises and leads a team in receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and disposing of Government Furnished and Contractor Acquired Material Coordinates and supervises monthly 10 PERCENT cyclic inventory, Receipt and break down of customer material Update MAXIMO transactions and verify accuracy of records Supervise between1-10 staff Prepare and submit reports to the government providing detailed information on routine and special reports Provide support to Program Management identifying problematic areas and resolutions

MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES

Supervise a team to accomplish provided tasks to standard

Count, sort incoming material to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices

Update material records in Maximo

Validate Purchase Requests, MILSTRIP Requisitions, Clothing Issues, and

Runs daily reports in MAXIMO and evaluates the stockage level and stock on hand to determine actions required

Ensures locations are properly marked, matched and recorded in MAXIMO

Identify and catalog all material on hand or on order for adequate store

Supervises the transportation of supplies to other departments, using Pallet Jack, Forklift or industrial truck as required

Responsible for Physical Security of material under hisher control that are stored in accordance with all Army Regulations and local policy

Identify Excess material in stock and request disposition accordingly

Ensure material is being maintained appropriately and identify for disposition material with an expired shelf life

Prepare, read and analyze records and reports necessary to execute actions routinely

Must be able to access secure locations

Supervisor has a direct relationship to 5 million dollars in expenditures and issues monthly

Supervise up to 30 staffs as direct or indirect reports

Prepares and maintains sub-hand receipts for subordinate sections and US Army units, processes Quality Deficiency Reports and LostTheftDamagedDestroyed (LDD) statements

Utilizes the Mission Training and Support Request (MSTR) to prepare and consolidate support Class IV and V (replicated training material) training packages, pallets or as requested by the USG

Ensures all adjustment documentation, ie Administrative Adjustment Reports (AARs), Financial Liability Investigations of Property Loss (FLIPL), and LostDamagedDestroyed (LDD) statements are accurately completed

Maintains and Monitors Material Army-Wide Tracking System (TS-MATS) for the replicated training material and TADSS Equipment and Support Equipment Database performance Maintenance requirements, and takes necessary corrective action ensuring that actions and functions support the integrity of the information processes

Performs continuous information updated by entering new RTM and TADSS equipment and Customer unit data, adjusting supporting informations table data, and maintaining positive interconnectivity and communication with the TS- MATS Server located in Army Training Support Center (ATSC), Fort Eustis, VA

MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED

Personal computer, printers, network equipment and other general office equipment Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to include manual and self powered lifts

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Indoor andor outdoor environment - must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures

24 hrs7 days a week, may work 12 hour shifts as required

Must be physically able to pass and meet all Annual Physical Requirements based on contract MOD

Required to observe all safety, security and health requirements for office, warehouse and desert environment

May be required to work an uncommon schedule including nights, weekends and holidays

Must be able to work extended hours and evenings, as mission requires

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES

Work may require lifting up to 50 lbs; stooping; climbing; prolonged standing; prolonged sitting; and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to chemical or biological agents Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EducationCertifications One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required

Capable of effectively communicating technical information in English, both written and verbal

Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management; Logistics; Business desired

EXPERIENCE

5 years of experience in MaterialProperty Management Related Military experience in Supply and Logistics May substitute one additional year experience for each year of college requirements

2 years supervisory experience at the team level or higher

Functional, comprehensive working knowledge of the Federal Acquisitions and Regulations for MaterialProperty Management

Working knowledge of supply room operations and inventory management is required

SKILLS

Former Army Supply E-7 or above Former Army Supply Warrant Officer

Use of GCSS-A, or similar systems

Material Handling Equipment (Fork Lift Operation, Pallet Jack, Hand Truck)

Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills

Supervisory Training

Ability to deliver training on hisher area of expertise to the lowest level

Strong analytical skills

WMS experience with Maximo, SAP, Oracle or similar systems

Customer service training

Ability to write procedural documents related to hisher functional area
