Job Description

The Fabricator is required to work under Welding Workshop The services include various nature fabrication works in Workshop as well as Process plants of QAFCO-1 to QAFCO-6 The detailed requirement of Educational qualification, Experience and Skills are mentioned below
Educational Qualification
o DiplomaITI OR Equivalent National Industrial Training Certificate in Fabrication trade Work Experience
Minimum 5 years hands on experience in Industries like Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Fertilizer plant etc
Communication & Competencies
o Shall be able to communicate well in written & spoken English
Skills Required
o Shall have good exposure in carrying out fabrication of piping spools and structural items in Fertilizer, Gas, Petrochemical or similar process industries
Shall be well aware of piping and structural drawing study and shall be able to understand the material requirement
o Shall be able to use trigonometry formula and calculations
Shall be able to carry out multi-dimensional cross checks including field oriental verifications
Shall be able to understand the WPS specifications, procedures, stress relieving requirement
o Shall be capable of developing various nature metal components in fabrication such as lateral, saddle, mitre bend, cone, reducer, transition spools round to square, square to rectangular etc
Shall be able to work individually
Shall be certified for Rigging and EOT crane operation
Conditions for Fabricators
Contractor shall submit the fabricators list, experience and training certificates for evaluation, review and approval
Pre-qualification of the Fabricators is must to ensure the suitability of job requirement Pre-qualification is based on the certificates, experience, interview and the fabrication mock-up test by QAFCO

SCOPE OF WORK -

Performance shall be reviewed periodically to monitor their on job performance Any decline
in the job quality to be marked and appropriate improvement measures shall be initiated

Safety requirement-
Shall adhere to QAFCO safety system (Using PPE, Carrying Gas Mask etc)
Knowledge about Work permits system in large scale industries
Should be well familiar with the hazardous chemicals materials used in the FertilizerPetrochemical industries and means to perform the Repair activity safely
Shall understand and work within the framework of Qafco Health, Safety, Environment and Quality policy and regulations
