CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOBTo participate in the entity strategic planning and national integrated infrastructure planning sections He or she will be responsible for the day-to-day running and management of the department, in close co-ordination with the managers of each of the department sectionsAREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY (AOR) Assist in developing, reviewing and updating a department operating procedure and organizational structure that are fit for purpose Support the team in the preparation of an operating framework (with processes, procedures and guidelines) for Entities and their EPMC s to deliver 5-Year Project Portfolio Plans, integrated multi-disciplinary Initial Project Planning Participate in the development of bespoke training material to enable the establishment of a National Integrated Infrastructure Master Plan Providing support and advice to the Department Directors, as and when requiredCOMPETENCIES Good knowledge in the preparation and implementation of sustainability based, process driven, urban planning and design procedures A sound working knowledge of project process improvement, knowledge transfer, training and leadership initiatives; Experience of managing change in urban design infrastructure planning organizations, and Experience and skill in personnel management, training and department administrationJOB SPECIFICATIONACADEMIC PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONESSENTIAL Bachelor s degree in urban planning, civil engineering or architectureDESIRABLE Post graduate Masters Degree or MSC in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering or Urban DesignPROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCEESSENTIAL 3+ years of relevant experience in multi-disciplinary project managementDESIRABLE 6+ years of relevant experience in multi-disciplinary project management
