Job Description

Job PurposeThe main purpose of this role is to Lead all aspects of operation and managing the event including set up, service delivery and post event closure To ensure cost-efficiency in line with the budget, deliver efficient service and smooth execution of the events within or outside DWTC Serving customers in a manner that enhances the business and image of the facility to support customer satisfaction and sales growth Ensuring compliance with government regulations, adhere to company guidelines, policies and standard practicesDuties & Responsibilities Maintain productivity , quality service, creativity and guest satisfaction Manage, maintain and promote a culture of excellent customer service as per DWTC service standards Manages and executes the event as per the approved event details including setting appropriate work schedules for the team Perform and plan all other duties assigned by the Line Manager Create, develop and implement innovative ideas in line with market trendsStrong Product knowledge and information related to the event and the Department Conduct regular training sessions with the assigned team in line with Departmental SOPs To support the achievement of budgeted financial and operating cost set by Management including the inventory control Ensures that DWTC grooming standards and hygiene standards are practiced and implemented on the floor by self and the teamEnsure guest feedbacks are dealt with promptly and efficiently Leads by example in all aspects of service All business related correspondence should be responded to within 48hours Pro-active approach in getting necessary event details to execute a successful event including but not limited to pre-event meetings, site visits etcConduct regular training sessions with the assigned team to improve product knowledge, service standards, policy procedures etc and improve the services in operations Ability to grow and develop team members, incentivise staff accordingly and perform annual and mid-year appraisals as per the company guidelines Follow and implement the DWTC Policies and Procedures Follow Hygiene and Food and Safety Procedures including accountability for FIFO Follow Guidelines and all directives from the Management To protect all DWTC assets during event within or outside DWTC To ensure the DWTC brand is showcased in all events with necessary approved collateralsAssist other sections of VSM Hospitality Operation whenever necessary and maintain good working relationship Collaborate with other supporting departments in Venue Management Prepare necessary report for management information (Event Feedbacks and other relevant reports) Process and Report all financial transactions and action as per set procedures Reports all incidents accidents in accordance with established DWTC proceduresOther duties maybe assigned to meet the operations demands or at the discretion of the management Detailed job description will be discussed with the post holder in every periodic performance evaluationsFormal Education High school Diploma or Degree or relevant Hotel School qualification or A minimum of 1 year experience in similar role or 2 years experience as Head Waiter Level in well-established Hospitality Industry Basic Hygiene CertificateHACCP AwarenessSpecial Qualification Fluent in English, Arabic Speaking is a plusWork Experience A minimum of 1 year experience in similar role or 2 years experience as Head Waiter Level in well-established Hospitality Industry Relevant experience in banquet operations Outside Catering Restaurant KnowledgeFamiliarity in Micros (Preferable) Experience in Management and Leadership roles Financial Reporting (Preferable)Skills and Knowledge Financial understanding of profit and loss statements Strong customer orientation Time management including multi-tasking and productivity Excellent interpersonal and highly effective communication skills Excellent team building skills and demonstrate teamwork and the ability to enhance team members performance Proven ability to create, develop and implement innovative ideas in line with market trends Understanding Hotel Outlet Food and Beverage Operations Effective Communication and Interpersonal Skills Supervising OperationsTraining Certificate in relevant Food HygieneHACCP Certificate in Customer ServiceCare Certificate Courses in Food and Beverage Lobster Ink Certification (preferable)About the BenefitsThis position offers competitive salary and package which includes housing and transportation allowance, annual flight ticket allowance, medical and dental coverage, life & accident insurance and retail and leisure discounts within DWTC
