Job Description

Assistant Vice President Finance - Asset Management - ( 19000050 )

Description

JOB PURPOSE

Assist in executing closing and reconciliation of accounts and assist in preparing all financial reports

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure proper accounting of the asset management has been implemented and proper closing of each asset has been maintained on a monthly basis
Assist in managing the asset portfolio accounting function efficiently
Ensure proper accounts are maintained for owners associations for retail and commercial assets
Execute activities of AR & AP related to (bulk residential lease, commercial & retail)
Assist in managing full service charge cycle from preparation of service charge budgets and service charge audits (AUPs) and issue of audit reports to tenants on an annual basis
Assist in managing treasury functions of the asset including asset owners account, service charge bank accounts and sinking fund accounts etc
Assist in the preparation, review and submission of monthly management accounts for asset including review of payables, receivables, depreciation, KPIs, variances with budgets, Income, Service charge accounting etc
Provide support to internal and external auditors for auditors of the respective asset
Handle special analyses such as financial analysis and cash flow forecasting for the asset
Assist the asset management team with financial and accounting reports as may be needed from time to time

Min of 8 years of experience of financial accounting and management accounting experience

FIELD OF EXPERIENCE

Experience of accounting within real estate or related industry is preferred
Experience in complex Group-wide accounting and reporting, preferably in a public company

TECHNICAL AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

Knowledge of and ability to apply international accounting standards and ERP systems
Knowledge of and ability to adhere to internal controls
Good analytical skills
Vigilant and detail oriented
Strong communication skills

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in accounting

Professional accounting qualification eg CPA, CIMA, CA, ACCA is preferred
