The Position Responsible for managing and developing the Catering Supply Chain and related activities across the network, ensuring optimum availability of stock at each location and contribute positively towards passenger service levelsJob Outline Manage the forecasting, scheduling, requisitioning, inventory planning, logistics and distribution activities for the in flight Catering Supply Chain, by developing and implementing systems and procedures to ensure stock availability in a timely manner and in the right quantities to support catering and cabin dressing uplifts throughout the Emirates network Implement and monitor stock management and distribution strategies by ensuring international trends and best practices are assessed and leveraged to continually improve the SCOR Card Metrics (Supply Chain Operation Research) ie Forecast Accuracy, Delivery Reliability, Supply Chain Responsiveness, Asset turns and Supply Chain Management Cost Manage the subcontracted warehousing and distribution activities (network wide) by developing systems and control mechanisms to ensure products delivered are to the agreed specifications, and material flows handled and recorded within the agreed time scales Initiate and implement through caterers process efficiencies in the Emirates Catering Supply chain by identifying opportunities to attain optimum operational stock requirements in the working float, reduce wastagedamages onboard and at caterers, targeting 5% savings on annual spend Drive and create integrated processes between entities in the catering supply chain, ie suppliers Procurement, Warehouses and Caterers by working cross functionally within EK and outside EK to automate the execution of the planning and replenishment cycle Identify and implement systems and tools needed to implement planningforecasting systems Lead reengineering efforts as it relates to supply chain planning and execution systems Manage and build relationships with service providers to ensure smooth importexport, distribution of catering stocks, best logistics techniques are adopted and requisite Service Level Agreements are met Prioritise continuous improvements of Oracle ERP Inventory Control applications and its implementation at overseas caterers by identifying needs, conceptualising and developing solutions through EGIT and Suppliers ie Oracle, etc, to optimise materials and material flow information between different entities in the supply chain Work closely with upstream and down stream suppliers in the supply chain in exploring new sources, new product developments, product changes, substitutions, improved systems or methods to reduce total product acquisition cost and improve efficiencies Produce and recommend to Mgr Ops and Supply Chain budget requirements for catering capital equipment, stock purchases, obsolete stock write&offs and logistics cost to meet operational requirements, and manage and report on these budgets Manage and supervise staff tasked with managing the catering supply chain; establish key level 2 SCOR metrics and measure actual performance against goals on regular basis to ensure service levels to catering suppliers metSalary & Benefits We offer an attractive tax&free salary, paid in Dirhams, the local currency of the UAE
