Job Description

Job Purpose

Develop and maintain digital creative content and layout of Taaleems digital communication channels (web, mobile, EDM and social) and to implement the marketing strategy to drive traffic to the brands website and increase audience acquisition from digital marketing channels

Key Accountabilities

Responsible for electronic marketing communications for all Taaleem electronic communication needs, working closely with the Marketing Manager to integrate with all marketing and communication programmes and activities

Design and provide innovative ways in-line with the markets latest trends to provide an effective tool and channels for the commercial messages that need to be communicated as part of the overall Marketing communication strategies by working closely with the Marketing Manager

Design a comprehensive electronic marketing strategy to support the company goal of developing online presence and web sales share

Responsible for content production (in its broadest meaning of text, images, video and all multimedia formats) on all electronic communication channels of the company (websites, marketing emails, mobile sites, social media marketing such as Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, etc, blogs etc)

Responsible for content management on taaleemae and overseeing the schools websites Internally accountable for all published information Accountable for its legal compliance

Responsible for the layout of Taaleems websites and Taaleem-owned elements in third party sites

Responsible for running usability studies on web pages to assess effectiveness and maximize conversion

Developer and custodian of editorial and layout guidelines for the Taaleem and its schools websites

Manage the periodic sending of marketing emails to Taaleems database

Manage and develop the web customer databases

Monitor Taaleems exposure and reputation in third party sites, such as blogs, forums, and participate (officially and not) when suitable to the companys objectives

Responsible for PPC advertising ("Pay Per Click") in Google and other major search engines and assess their effectiveness through google analytics

Responsible for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) from on-line marketing point of view

Maximize content production effectiveness for the website through a strong relationship with Taaleems Marketing Manager and Director of Communications

Responsible for affiliationpartnership-style marketing tools

Employ traditional banner advertising on third party sites to increase Taaleems brand recognition

Develop and maintain Taaleems own community and blogging environment with the aim of increasing awareness in Taaleem and traffic to taaleemae

Monitor Taaleems exposure in third party blogs

Continuously review the latest trends in on-line and web marketing, competitors activity, business partners initiatives, with the aim to channel more qualified traffic, increased conversion resulting in increased quantum of on-line sales, effective cost control methods, thus contributing towards a more efficient sales medium

Accountable for the relationship with web marketing service providers In charge of selecting new partners when needed and steering the procurement process

Undertake regular reviews of electronic marketing initiatives so that performance evaluation versus budget projections in terms of traffic conversion can be carried out

Report on customers behavior with the available analytics tools Produce periodical KPIs reports for the management and rest of the team Drive the acquisition and integration of new reporting tools when needed

Create of an annual capital and operating budget for electronic marketing as part of the overall marketing budget and in conjunction with Taaleems Marketing Manager; control expenditures and staffing to adhere to this budget



Degree level (in Marketing) or equivalent


Minimum of 5 years experience in World Wide Web (www); Marketing, e-commerce, developing traffic and exposure of travel-related websites, preferably in the education industry


Thorough knowledge of Joomla!, SEO, SEM, Adwords, Social Media Marketing

Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite Design Premium to support the marketing team in developing creative artworks for print and online advertising

Proven experience with project-management

Ability to think and act strategically

Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a complex and dynamic environment

Analytical approach, detail oriented

Ability to prioritize and work under the pressure of multiple demands while meeting deadlines

Good interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to create and "sell" new ideas to top management

Excellent command of the English language (in written and spoken form)


Fluent in Arabic (written and spoken)

Team management experience
