Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARYThe Food and Beverage Manager is responsible in managing the entire operations and activities of the Food and Beverage operation and staff and ensure to achieve its revenue goals in line with Departmental targets, policies, and procedures whilst providing professional excellent hospitality service to the guests ensuring that their stay will become memorableSPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESPrepares the operating budget for the food and beverage department, recommends items to be included in the hotels capital budget, and ensures adherence with approved budget guidelinesDevelop, implement and monitor the annual Food & Beverage plan to ensure optimum guest satisfaction, sales maximization and profitabilityCoordinate with Executive Chef in developing pricing and cost for the food and beverage itemsWork in conjunction with Director of Sales and Marketing in developing food and beverage promotions to increase profits and achieve revenue goalsMonitor revenue goals of all outlets by executing marketing and sales strategiesEnsure sufficient staff is allocated in accordance with business forecasts to support an efficient and smooth operationPlan and conduct on and off job training regularly in order to achieve service standard and knowledge of staffInspect table set-ups; check for cleanliness, neatness and agreement with guest s order and departmental standards; rectify deficiencies with respective personnelUnderstand daily hotel operations and activities (total room occupancy, number of arrivals, departure guests, and VIPs)Be knowledgeable on hotel services, operational hours, amenities, functions, and ongoing promotional activities (if applicable) Responds to guest requests for information on local areas of attractions and landmarksEnsures compliance with food handling and sanitation standardsMonitors alcohol beverage service in compliance with local lawsMonitors Food & Beverage competitors, market trends, practices and systems, to ensure the hotels Food & Beverage operations remains at the forefrontActively responds to guest issues in a timely and efficient manner, taking corrective action when required to prevent similar recurrencesProject a professional manner with an emphasis on delivering excellent hospitality service
