About the RoleThe jobholder is responsible to develop a global Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Strategy and Roadmap that is in line with and contributing to the overall Sustainability Framework, Policy and Strategy, and Borouge Corporate Strategy and supports the strategic objectives of ADNOC and the UAE governmentThe jobholder is accountable to manage the international CSR Projects to ensure that Borouge positively impacts all the communities and environments where it operates globally and supports the sustainable development of the company and the overall plastics industry for both Borouge ADP and Borouge Pte, in line with the Company s values and capabilities, and internationally recognised standards This includes government bodies and academic institutionsThe jobholder is responsible to present the plastics products as valuable commodities for the communities while promoting Borouge s CSR pillars and objectives The jobholder is responsible to communicate, present and educate the importance of the plastics industry and how plastics add value to society and positively affects lifeThis role includes; identifying, leading and communicating the external Community Investment initiatives that improve the reputation of the company and support its role in the community (ie Water for the World, Waste Free Environment) In addition to providing clear guidelines for the implementation of Community Investment and Sponsorship activities globally, the jobholder is the direct custodian of the company-wide, and ADNOC and Borealis joint initiatives The jobholder role must provide feedback to management and based on Social Return on Investment metrics, develop and implement plans to improve the effectiveness and sustainability of the initiativesAbout YouQualificationUniversity degree in Chemical Engineering, or other relevant degreeMaster s degree in Strategic, Marketing or Business related disciplines is preferredFluency in English Language is a must; oral and written Arabic Language is desiredWell-established computer skills; ie Microsoft OfficeExperience, Knowledge & SkillsMinimum of 8 - 12 years of total experienceMinimum of 6 years of experience in CSR, Sustainability, or equivalent designations within the Business Excellence, or CommunicationsPreferred to have 3 - 5 years of experience in HSE, Operations, Polymers Product or ApplicationsExperience in Petrochemicals, Polymers, is preferredProven hands on corporate communication and event managementExposure to develop tactical and operational strategiesHands on Return on Investment studies and analysisKnowledge of product stewardship practices and concepts is preferredUnderstanding of sustainability strategies and management systemsUnderstanding of key sustainability issues in the oil and gas and petrochemical industryKnowledge of international sustainability standards, codes and work practicesStrong influencing capabilities especially in a multi-stakeholder environmentAbility to work effectively with other people and in teamsStrong strategic, tactical, and analytical thinkingStrong presentation and reporting skillsStrong communication and inter-personal skillsExcellent group leadership facilitation abilitiesHighest standards of professional and ethical behavior
