KPMGs Deal Advisory practice is a well-established, reputed
advisory practice in the UAE and has worked on some of the marquee, landmark
transactions and restructuring assignments in the region The Deal Advisory practice
has ambitious growth plans for the future and is looking to build a strong team
of professionals within the Global Strategy Group (GSG) services
With this objective, the KPMG Deal Advisory GSG team is
presently looking for experienced strategy professionals The requirements are as follows
Role and
responsibilities
The core responsibility for the selected candidate would be
to execute and manage engagements, leveraging the existing pool of resources
within Deal Advisory, where the nature of engagements will vary across market
feasibility studies, business planning, market entry and growth strategy
formulation, business plan review and commercial market due diligence These
engagements would typically be of 3-8 weeks duration and the candidate would be
expected to deal with clients senior management on a regular basis and manage
their expectations The clients for the Strategic and Commercial Intelligence
services would be PE firms, sovereign funds, family offices and corporates
Apart from this, the candidate would be expected to
contribute significantly to the practice development initiatives and sector
programs within the Deal Advisory practice, which are aimed to position Deal
Advisory, in general, and Strategic and Commercial Intelligence services, in
particular, as the preferred advisor with its chosen clients
As this is a new but growing practice within KPMG, the
candidate would also contribute to team building, which would include
assistance in recruitment, coaching, guiding and counselling junior resources
on as well as outside engagements
Lastly, the candidate is expected to manage the internal
processes for running engagements, manage the risks associated with these
engagements and monitor the engagement KPIs on a regular basis to ensure that
any issues deviations are highlighted to the senior team and corrective
actions are taken in a timely manner
Qualifications
Top-tier B-schools only
However, candidates from other B-schools with
strong strategy consulting transaction advisory experience are encouraged to
apply
CA ACCA CFA qualifications (along with MBA)
are a big plus
Past Experience
Senior Consultant 2-3 years and Assistant
Manager 4-5 years of post-MBA experience in strategy consulting advisory
experience either with Strategy firms Big-4 firms boutique consulting firms
Bilingual speaker with Arabic as native language
Candidates currently working in the GCC
countries UAE or having past consulting experience in the region
Experience in public sector, healthcare,
logistics, consumer and industrial markets Experience of advising government
entities is a must
It is strongly recommended that candidates
highlight their experience in the types of engagement mentioned above in their
resume
Soft and other skills
Highly motivated self-starter
High client impact with strong analytical skills
Ability to articulate and present thoughts and
analysis in a coherent manner
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize
work appropriately
