Job Description

Responsibilities
Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers specifications
Repair and replace damaged or worn parts
Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment in order to diagnose defects
Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices
Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools
Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings
Overhaul and test machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency

Requirements
Proven experience as Mechanic
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or at least High School Diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plus
Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their components whether light vehicle or heavy equipment
Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction, blueprints etc
A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
Very good physical strength and stamina
